Any individual can check for the details of a company such as registration number, type of company, date of incorporation, charges of a company, directors of the company, etc. from the website.
Other information such as balance sheets and other documents of a company along with annual returns are also available on the website for payment of appropriate fees.
To check whether a company really exists or not follow the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the website of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. https://www.mca.gov.in/
Step 2: Enter the Company name (Enter full name of the company)
Step 3: If the company is not registered you will get a Pop-up window.
Step 4: If the company is registered you will get the following details of the company.
- a) LLPIN /CIN /1A Ref No
- b) Company or LLP Name
- c) State
- d) Registration Date
- e) Company Status
Step 5: If you get the data as mentioned above then the company is registered by Govt. of India.
