Linking of voter ID with Aadhaar card: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has begun a drive to link Voter ID cards with Aadhaar cards. As per the ECI, the linking of voter ID cards with Aadhaar cards is being done to establish the identity of electors. It will help the Election commission to remove the duplicate entries in the electoral roll and furthermore help the government with fixing leakages in the system.

The ECI has set up camps in various states to help with people link their Voter ID cards with Aadhar cards. Individuals can visit these camps to know the process to link the two photograph identity cards.

Also, individuals can complete the process to link Voter ID with Aadhar online. For this, individuals should submit form 6B online with all the required documents.

The process of linking Voter ID and Aadhar card through online is simple process. Follow the below steps and link Aadhaar card with Voter ID:

Step 1: Go to the official website of the National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) – nvsp.in

Step 2: Log in to the website. Choose the option on the homepage that states ‘Search in Electoral Roll’

Step 3: Enter individual details to look through Voter ID OR give EPIC number and state to search Voter ID list.

Step 4: An option will be displayed on the left side to Feed Aadhar No., click on the option

Step 5: Another window will open requesting you to enter Aadhar card details

Step 6: After entering Aadhar Card details, you will get an OTP on registered mobile number or email. Submit Click on submit button after entering the OTP and authenticate.
